"Let Me Show You" - Cut Copy [YouTube Acetate Single]

Published July 22, 2013

During Pitchfork Music Festival this weekend, Australian dance-rockers Cut Copy released a new single in a more than trendy fashion. At the festival's CHIRP Record Fair, the band were cutting their latest, "Let Me Show You," straight to acetate on site. They only made 120 copies over the course of the weekend, and each had the purchaser's name engraved right onto the record. This must've been a special occasion for Cut Copy, considering the fact that acetate singles are very expensive, and can't be played too many times.

Luckily for us who were not in Chicago this weekend to purchase one, buyer #73 of 120 of the single was kind enough to post a video of the audio onto YouTube. Carrying the sound of Factory Records' rave-kings The Happy Mondays, "Let Me Show You" is insanely groovy and all too danceable. Check it out above courtesy of YouTube user "debaser22," and enjoy!
