The new One Direction video is hectic - band members playing old men, band members playing women, and band members dancing seductively with female versions of themselves. The Ben Winston-directed visual for the group's latest release, "Best Song Ever," at the very least sees these UK gents having a hell of a time.
The song's narrative is composed primarily of the boys claiming to have enjoyed the company of a girl while "danc[ing] all night to the best song ever/I think it went oh-oh-oh/I think it went yeah, yeah, yeah". By the sound of that, it could really be any number of songs. Best of luck to One Direction their evidently tireless search to remember the lyrics to the mysterious aforementioned track.
Editor's note: Billboard reports that this video has set a new record for YouTube plays in a single day, with 10.9 million views according to Vevo. The previous record was "We Can't Stop" by Miley Cyrus with 10.7 million views.
