"Hearts Like Ours" - The Naked and Famous [Soundcloud]

After an amazing debut with Passive Me, Aggressive You back in 2011, The Naked and Famous have been tucked away in the studio working.

Now, three years later, The Naked and Famous have finally announced their much anticipated sophomore album — In Rolling Waves.

The new record is set to be out on September 16th via Fiction Records, but thankfully we don't have to wait that long for a sneak peek.

While announcing the album yesterday, the New Zealand indie-pop group released the first single from the album called "Hearts Like Ours." The new song has the same bright youthful feeling that made Passive Me, Aggressive You so addictive, and, as a result, it's hard not to play this song on repeat.

The Naked and Famous are probably best known for their anthemic track "Young Blood," but most of the songs on Passive Me, Aggressive You are pretty catchy.

In "Hearts Like Ours," instead of the chorus of soulful "yeah's" like we found in "Young Blood," there is a chorus of "ahh's" between pleading chorus lines like, "Half awake and almost dead / Keep an empty bed, don't slip / We aim to be, we aim to be / All the time and energy." The effect is just as heart tugging.
