"Criminal" - Richie Ramone [Soundcloud Audio]

Former Ramones' drummer, Richie Ramone, decided to launch a solo career at the age of 55, and already he has released his first single. "Criminal" is a quick punk song that recalls his work with the influential band in his brief time with them in the 1980s, and Ramone's subsequent 20 year absence from the music scene doesn't seem to have had any effect on the rocker. Loud guitars and drums lead "Criminal," but bitter lyrics like "it's you who caused the pain" are what anchor the song. It's a fantastic track, and a welcome treat for fans in need of some great new punk music.

Luckily, Richie Ramone has more to offer: His first solo album, Entitled, is coming out next month via DC Jam Records. As he told Billboard, "We've had this in the works now for a while and we're really excited about working with DC-Jam to get this out. We put a lot of work in on creating this and we're really proud of it."
