Brooklyn rapper Talib Kweli showcases the nightlife scene of Toyko, Japan, in his latest video "Turnt Up." The celebratory track is a cut from his fifth studio album, Prisoner of Conscious. Released in May, Kweli takes a different approach in "Turnt Up," as most fans are used to his conscious lyrical content that tends to stray away from current rap trends. The visuals feature Kweli partying with women in nightclubs, and drinking on the streets on of Toyko.

This change of subject isn't a bad thing for Kweli, as the track features a sample of Eric B. & Rakim's 1987 rap classic, "Paid in Full." The beautiful women and landscape of Toyko provides the perfect backdrop for the smooth track, with lyrics such as "We drink good, smoke good." Dark black glasses covering his eyes, the rapper rides in a female packed convertible celebrating his accomplishments. The Capitol Records recording artist is currently on both the Rock the Bells tour in North America, and on the Rap City tour overseas. His next upcoming album, Gravitas, is slated for a 2014 release.
