Above is Gary Clark Jr.'s "You Saved Me" performed last Tuesday, October 1st, on The Arsenio Hall Show. The blues rocker from Austin, Texas showcased his musical versatility with this track, transitioning from the delicate falsetto vocals of an R&B tune to a Hendrix-esque guitar-driven jam, allowing Clark Jr. to show off his talents on the ax.

As an online encore, he performed "Bright Lights," a track originally released in 2010 on his first EP, Gary Clark Jr., via independent label Hotwire Unlimited. Although Clark Jr. has stated that he draws on a variety of musical influences, including jazz, R&B, soul, and country, he reveals his true Texas roots in "Bright Lights," taking no mercy on a simple blues progression. If you're interested in seeing Gary Clark Jr. shred live, the fall tour schedule can be found on his official site.
