"Right Action" (Liv Spencer Rework) - Franz Ferdinand [SoundCloud Audio]

Next week, Franz Ferdinand will release Right Action Remixes, a six track compilation of remixes of songs from their recent album Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action. One of those tracks is Liv Spencer's remix of "Right Action," which you can now stream above, via SoundCloud.

Spencer adds a touch of disco to the already funky song, adding guitar and bass loops that may have been deemed "retro" a year ago, but in light of 2013's disco obsession (Hi Daft Punk, Robin Thicke, Arcade Fire), seem almost trendy at this point. What goes around eventually discos on back around at some point, I guess.

Franz Ferdinand release a Right Action remix bundle on the 2nd of December. Available digitally (RUG533D3), the bundle includes a variety of remixes from luminaries such as Liv Spencer (one half of the legendary Still Going), Matias Aguayo, Zero Set (Franz engineer Mark Ralph’s alter ego) and Optimo Record’s Golden Teacher.
