The Wood Brothers are comprised of Chris Wood (best known as the bass player of jazz supergroup Medeski Martin & Wood), Oliver Wood (on guitar & vocals) and Jano Rix (playing melodica and shuitar - "percussion made out of a %#!tty guitar"). They played a couple songs at Fordham University's WFUV in New York City, just posted to YouTube today:

The Wood Brothers "Sing About It" Live at WFUV:

"Sing About It" is a bluesy, soulful, and uplifting song, with really nice vocal harmonies and displaying the talents of all 3 members of the group.

Unfortunately, the volume is especially low on "Keep Me Around" so you will need to turn your volume up to hear the music. The bass part is quintessential Chris Wood, with a nice groove and unusual melodic sense. There's a fluid, dynamic quality as the song bounces around between different parts seamlessly and great understanding of different sounds and techniques that you'd find in a jazz setting. Again, some soulful vocals and interplay between all 3 guys in the group.

Both songs are from The Wood Brothers' latest album, The Muse. Check it out on their website.
