Chris Cornell and The Civil Wars' Joy Williams gave a somber performance of their track "Misery Chain" on The Late Show With David Letterman last night. "Misery Chain," off of the recently released soundtrack for the film 12 Years a Slave, is a slow, harmonic blues number. Williams' emotional vocals complemented Cornell's sultry tones excellently, giving the song a more dynamic sound than the low-key opening would initially suggest.
