Los Angeles' Neighborhood Brats have just released the raw and brutal Total Dementia EP on Dirtnap Records, and you can stream the whole thing for free in the player above.

Throughout the 4-song record, frontwoman Jenny Angelillo's distorted vocals sit just above the riffy guitars, backed by tight drums and driving bass lines. It's a refreshing blast of classic, high-energy punk rock, including a Go-Go's cover and a title track reminiscent of Black Flag's "Nervous Breakdown." It's short, fast, and fuming, just like it should be.

Angelillo is quoted on the band's Facebook as saying, "I just want to play punk rock, drink coffee, get a tan, do push-ups and get rad... You can fucking quote me on that." That seems like a pretty solid sales pitch to us. Check 'em out above.

From Dirtnap Records' description of Total Dementia:

Led by crazed frontwoman Jenny Angelillo and guitarist George Rager, and recently relocated to Los Angeles from San Francisco, the Neighborhood Brats are joined on this record by the new rhythm section of Tommy Branch and Richie Cardenas. The new lineup tears through 3 originals (The title track is actually a re-worked version of the b-side of the Roofie And The Nightstalkers lone 7”, Jenny and George’s short lived pre-Neighborhood Brats project.) and a Go-Go’s cover, all to ferocious effect.

You can download the EP on the band's official Bandcamp. You can order Total Dementia on vinyl via Green Noise Records.
