"Copy Of A" & "My God Is The Sun" - Nine Inch Nails, QOTSA, Dave Grohl, & Lindsey Buckingham at 2014 Grammys 1.26.2014 [YouTube Video]

One of the most anticipated performances of the evening at last night's Grammys was the supergroup mashup of Nine Inch Nails, Queens of the Stone Age, Dave Grohl, and legendary Fleetwood Mac guitarist Lindsey Buckingham.

The first song -- "Copy Of A" from last year's Hesitation Marks -- began with Buckingham's fancy picking set to NIN's mechanical backbeat. Trent Reznor began an impassioned performance and the stage opened up to reveal Dave Grohl furiously beating on a drum kit and QOTSA's Josh Homme shredding away. The song swelled as everyone sang along, culminating just as the stage was swapped around again.

Reznor moved to the keyboard and joined as Queens of the Stone Age tore into ...Like Clockwork track "My God Is The Sun." The all-star band gave an especially full and furious performance of the track and an array of lights flickered down on the crowd like the titular sun.

Unfortunately, the set ended with controversy. To the dismay of the musicians -- and the fans who sat through the Grammys to see the performance -- CBS interrupted the telecast with "ads for its programming and for an airline sponsor, all with the music going on in the background" according to Rolling Stone. Although the performance reportedly ended shortly thereafter, the decision to truncate the set left some people upset.
