I'm always wary whenever I hear a remix or cover of classic song like "I Shot The Sheriff" by Bob Marley; it seems like they should just be left alone. But this N.A.S.A. - Karen O collaboration has renewed my faith.

DJ / producer Sam Spiegel of N.A.S.A. takes a minimalist approach here, leaving the core reggae elements in tact while adding just a touch of his own funk-inspired production style. And although Karen O's singing can be quite powerful and slightly overwhelming at times, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs frontwoman offers up a gentler, silky smooth vocal part.

This new collaboration debuted on Sunday night during the Grammys in a commercial for the consumer electronics company, SONOS. Check it out below.
