During 2013, Dr. Dog finished building their home studio and released the album B Room.

In this video, we get an interview with Scott McMicken who explains how the song "The Truth" evolved over time and was finally produced. This is followed by a live performance of the tune in Dr. Dog's studio. It's a cool and different take than the version that opens up the album. McMicken explains how the song slowed down and became more sparse as the band worked on recording the song. Once again, Dr. Dog show that they are masters of crafting melodic rock songs that embrace folk and roots traditions while also experimenting with modern elements of pop and indie music.

It's crazy to think that over two years ago we first sat down with Scott McMicken at Kung Fu Necktie, interviewing him about the foundation of Dr. Dog and how far they've come since they started the band so many years ago. Here almost two years later to the date, they invited us out to their new studio in the suburbs of Philadelphia as they wrapped their newest album, "B Room".

We always love filming with both local and touring bands, but having a band like Dr. Dog, who's so engrained in Philly music, certainly hits home for us. Enjoy this studio version of "The Truth," our second release from this day. Cheers.
