Following their wild performance on Letterman last month, Chicago garage rockers The Orwells have returned with a new version of their 2010 song "The Righteous One," complete with a trippy video. Watch the black and white clip above.
Showing a more psychedelic side than either of their 2013 EPs, "The Righteous One" still finds the band at home in the garage, but maybe this time it's a shag-carpeted garage. The Orwells have a clear love for the '60s (as highlighted by a badass story about them covering The Velvet Underground's "Heroin" at their high school as freshmen), and this video has them doing little to reign that in. Frontman Mario Cuomo's hyper-sexuality could also be deemed retro (going off the Jim Morrison-and-Robert Plant model), and even now that many American TV viewers have seen him on his back, humping the air on David Letterman's stage, he shows no signs of stopping.
