For the most part, "Learning" doesn't sound out of the ordinary for The National. Matt Berninger and a backing vocalist are only accompanied by a piano, an electric guitar and a very subtle synth, making the song all the more emotionally naked. Apart from an increase in fidelity, it's not that different from the original version, but it's cool to see a well-established band like The National covering a smaller artist that they respect.
