The video for Foster the People's "Coming of Age" is just that, a coming of age. The video cuts back and forth between two interlocked stories. One is about a high school loser, while the other is about a boxer's struggles. In the end, both triumph over their enemies and get their respective girls.
The song, much like the video, sounds like it belongs in the '80s. Its synth pop melodies, falsetto background harmonies and chorus guitar could play during the credits of a John Hughes film. "Coming of Age" is the first single off of the band's upcoming album, Supermodel, out March 14th on Columbia Records. You can preorder the album on Foster the People's official website.
