Following appearances from Broken Bells, Sting, Flaming Lips, and Lenny Kravitz, The Late Show with David Letterman closed out their Beatles Week celebration last night with eight time Grammy award winner, Ms. Lauryn Hill. Ms. Hill capped off the week long celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Beatles first appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show, with her first television performance in three years. The vocalist covered the Beatles 1969 hit single "Something," featured above.

Hill's band set the tone for the song by staying true to its original guitar riffs, alongside a more uptempo keyboardist as well as added percussion. As for Ms. Lauryn Hill - well, no vocal performed by the neo-soul queen leaves behind the singer's signature runs and soulful melodies.

Beatles Week will culminate tomorrow, when the likes of John Mayer, Alicia Keys, John Legend and many more hit the stage for the two-hour special, The Night That Changed America: A Grammy Salute to the Beatles. It airs Sunday, February 9th, at 8 p.m. EST on CBS.

Oh and the remaining Beatles, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr will be there so it will definitely be worth watching.
