Beck appeared on last night's Saturday Night Live to perform a few songs from his recently released album, Morning Phase.

"Blue Moon" - Beck on Saturday Night Live 3/1/2014:

After an introduction by The Big Bang Theory's Jim Parsons, Beck kicked off the night with "Blue Moon," the lead single from Morning Phase. Joined onstage by his band -- which included J. Tillman, aka Father John Misty -- the singer performed a spot-on rendition of the track, with his reverb-soaked vocals driving the melancholy tune. The song crescendoed alongside the synthesizer keyboard solo, before drawing to a passionate close. Watch the video above.

Beck came back out for a performance of "Wave," a slower, more chilled-out track also from the new record. For this song, he swapped out his band for an orchestra and belted out the forlorn melody. The performance was powerful and emotional, with swelling string parts and vocal harmonies backing Beck's refrain of "Isolation." Watch "Wave" on SNL below.
