ATO Records' Bob Dylan in the 80s: Volume One is an upcoming Bob Dylan covers album, and they've just shared another interesting contribution to the record. Comedian and musician Reggie Watts will be featured on the compilation performing Dylan's "Brownsville Girl," a cut from his 1986 Knocked Out Loaded.

The original track was a sprawling, soulful 11-minute track, with massive production and gospel backup singers. Truly an epic even by Dylan standards. Watts, however, adds a dancehall groove and cuts it down to a more radio-friendly 3-and-a-half minutes, with vocal flourishes and a far more understated style. Reggie's version is billed as "Brownville Girl (Reprise)" likely because the cover focuses mostly on the chorus, but it doesn't lose any punch. Watts sings his own background vocals and his unique voice makes the track shine, taking a slightly more serious approach to the song than, say, last year's "Reg Rolled." Take a listen above and hear Bob Dylan's original below.

Speaking to Spin, Watts had this to say:

"I love this track, hadn't heard of it before I was asked to be a part of the project. I fell in love with it and love the way it came out. Dylan is a true master of his art."
