The Hold Steady get artistic in the new video for "Spinners." The Brooklyn band released Teeth Dreams today via Razor and Tie records, and they've also shared the album's first official music video.

We've already seen the animated lyric video for the single, but the new music video takes a new approach. The visual is a mixed-media stop-motion representation of the song, alternating between literal drawings and more symbolic illustrations. The art is beautifully done, with chalkboards and paint meeting almost seamlessly. Check it out above.

Craig Finn spoke to The Guardian about the track:

"Spinners was inspired by seeing a group of young people dressed up and going out in the city on a Friday night. They looked like they maybe had made a bit of a journey. There was an air of anticipation, as if they were determined to make something happen that night. The song is about all the possibilities of a night on the town, and trying to use these nights to escape our normal lives."
