Scranton punk rockers The Menzingers have shared "I Don't Wanna Be An Asshole Anymore," a new track from their upcoming record, Rented World.

The song is a strong album opener, with a hammer-on guitar riff building to the first verse. Thick guitars and pounding drums kick in and stick around for the rest of the track. The song is a no-frills confession and plea for redemption. "Baby, baby, I'll be good to you / I don't wanna be an asshole anymore," serves as an anthemic chorus, with barebones, honest verses, and a simple bridge. The song rocks hard, but it's all about maturation, both in sound and lyrical content. Check it about above.

The Menzingers' Rented World will be out April 22nd, 2014 via Epitaph Records. The band will be going on a US tour this summer, so check out their official website for details. You can pre-order the record through their official store.
