Speedy Ortiz appeared on NME's acoustic series, Basement Sessions, to perform a cover of Blur's "Bugman" from their 1999 album 13.
Blur's original version of "Bugman" is a rocker that falls apart in the middle with Sonic Youth-like distortion before starting up again. Speedy Ortiz still manage to utilize effects pedals in their version during the song's chaotic bridge, though it is far more laid back than the original. It's also the most groove oriented track the band has yet produce with drummer Mike Falcone using brushes. Check out the video above.
