Of all of the crossover potential that Danny Brown's diverse 2013 album Old had, "25 Bucks," a collaboration with indie / electropop duo Purity Ring, might have been the most seamless attempt at uniting fans of different genres. Now, the standout track has gotten official video treatment. Watch the clip, directed by NORTON, above.
Focusing on Brown and Purity Ring's Megan James in a Clockstoppers-esque fantasy wherein they move freely around an otherwise frozen world, the "25 Bucks" video falls in line with Old's mostly-autobiographical content, with Brown relating stories from his youth while walking through snapshots of memories. It's a powerfully personal video, and it gels perfectly with Brown's intriguing storytelling.
