Rodrigo Y Gabriela have just released an impressive live performance video for their song "The Russian Messenger," from their upcoming album, 9 Dead Alive, out April 29th.

Filmed in southern Mexico, Rodrigo Y Gabriela are shown in an intimate studio setting. The song itself is enticing, featuring intricate and fast-paced guitar work, but the most compelling aspect of the video is how effortless the duo makes it seem. It is an extremely mesmerizing performance.

9 Dead Alive will feature nine songs that pay tribute to nine individuals who have passed on, which should really encourage everyone to live a life remarkable enough for Rodrigo Y Gabriela to soundtrack. "The Russian Messenger" draws its inspiration from the late Fyodor Dostoyevsky, the novelist popularly known for Crime and Punishment.

The album is currently available for pre-order on Amazon and iTunes. As an added bonus, you can pre-order a deluxe version on Rodrigo Y Gabriella's official bandcamp page.

You can also listen to the lead single from 9 Dead Alive, "The Soundmaker," right here on Zumic.
