Kelis just released Food, her first album on UK label Ninja Tune, yesterday, and to celebrate she brought album cut "Jerk Ribs" to The Late Show with David Letterman. Watch her, an eight piece band and two backup singers perform the song above.
Featuring horns that recall Food producer Dave Sitek's work in TV on the Radio, "Jerk Ribs" manages to marry a retro groove with a poppy chorus that will please fans of Kelis' (paradoxically) older, but more modern-sounding tunes.
