Bob Mould has released “I Don't Know You Anymore,” the second single from his eleventh solo album, Beauty & Ruin, available June 3rd via Merge Records.
This track perfectly displays Mould's catchy pop-punk sensibility. He uses a standard song structure of verse-chrous-verse-chrous-bridge before wailing a brief solo, all just two seconds shy of three minutes. Power chords soar as Mould sings, "Pushing record when I wanted to play / The message is clear how you push me away." Check out the track above.
Beauty & Ruin will feature drummer Jon Wurster (Superchunk, Mountain Goats) and Jason Narducy (Split Single, Verbow). You can hear the record's first single, "Hey Mr. Grey," right here on Zumic. Head over to iTunes to preorder the album.
