Yesterday, The Orwells released a video for "North Ave," a song from their excellent second album Disgraceland. Watch it above.

The track is about finding something to do in a boring town. On the chorus, frontman Mario Cuomo sings, "There comes time when all the children all want something else to do / They were heading to the graveyard walking down North Avenue." In the video, the band is seen drinking beer at said graveyard. The video is shot with an old camcorder. The phones in their pockets probably have produced a better quality. However, the graininess perfectly captures the boring wasteland -- or disgraceland -- that is their home town.

The Orwells were influenced by, as guitarist Matt O’Keefe told Rolling Stone, "a lot of Cheap Trick and the Heartbreakers." Whether it's O’Keefe's Thin Lizzy-esque guitar riff or Cuomo's Joey Ramone leather jacket, the song's '70s influence is undeniable. However, the band makes it their own, making it one of Disgraceland's best tracks.

Disgraceland is now available for purchase on Amazon, but you can stream the entire album right here on Zumic. For more music, news and tour dates, head over to The Orwells' Zumic artist page.
