Today, New York-based singer Ryn Weaver released her new single, "OctaHate." You can listen to the new tune above via SoundCloud.

"OctaHate" was produced by Michael Angelakos, the frontman of Passion Pit, with help from Benny Blanco and Cashmere Cat. The single is an infectious pop tune with a ridiculously catchy dance beat. Weaver's voice is folky and airy, she could very easily be compared to Florence Welch of Florence + the Machine.

Just yesterday, pop star Charli XCX encouraged her Twitter followers to check out Weaver's new song:

While this support and encouragement from Charli XCX certainly helped Ryn Weaver gain popularity online, with "OctaHate" being the lovely pop song that it is, it's safe to assume that Weaver would have easily gained the attention and support that she so rightfully deserves on her own.
