St. Vincent took the stage at the Ed Sullivan Theater last night to perform as a part of the Live on Letterman concert series. She mostly played songs off her recent self-titled album, with some older tracks mixed in. Watch the show in its entirety above.

Annie Clark, better known as St. Vincent, has developed a compelling stage persona. To open the show last night, she hyped up the crowd with a jittery and arresting dance routine before jumping into her first song, "Rattlesnake." After she wowed the audience with a performance of "Digital Witness," she surprised them by playing two tracks off her previous albums, "Cruel" from Strange Mercy, and "Marrow" off the 2009 album Actor. Throughout the set she showed off her incredible guitar skills, pulling off killer solos to end nearly every song she played.

Clark demonstrated some amazing precision in her dance moves and included bizarre and wonderful theatrics. She played 3 songs from the top of a pyramid, and at the end of "Prince Johnny," her guitar is taken from her and she collapses, proceeding to slowly yet gracefully move down the stage, before popping right back up to start "Huey Newton." Her performance captivated the audience, and at the end of her set she was given a well-deserved round of applause.
