While on tour, Alabama rock and rollers Lee Bains III & The Glory Fires stopped by The Roadhouse on KEXP in Seattle to play a few songs. You can watch the clip above.

They start off with the fast charging "The Company Man," which Lee Bains advises that you never trust one. Immediately, they go into a version of "The Kudzu and the Concrete" that contains so much raw energy, Lee Bains' headphones nearly fall off. Both of these songs are off their most recent release, Dereconstructed.

For the next song, "We Dare Defend Our Rights," Lee Bains explains how it was influenced from the Alabama state motto and a law the Alabama state legislature passed. The last song, "Opelika," is a steady grooving number from their debut album There Is A Bomb In Gilead.

In the interview hosted by Greg Andy, Lee Bains discusses why the music scene in Birmingham, Alabama is getting national attention. They talk about the tour they're currently on and why it's not good to have a day off. Lee shares details about Dereconstructed and how the South influenced his songwriting. Lastly, he discusses how he met producer Tim Kerr.

Their new LP, Dereconstructed, is available through the Sub-Pop website. Lee Bains III & The Glory Fires are currently on a nation wide tour until the end of July, then will be heading out to Europe. For info and tour dates, check out their official website.
