If you're a fan of creative cartoon imagery and loud punk music, then you're going to want to watch the Screaming Females music video for "Empty Head" above.
The song is a mid-tempo, fuzzed-out rocker with heavy guitar chords and catchy riffs. Singer and guitarist Marissa Paternoster's vocals are at the forefront while bass from King Mike slithers underneath.
The video was directed and shot by Tobias Stretch, and features singer Marissa Paternoster's creative illustrations walking and crawling in an urban environment. A Berry & Homer sign at the end suggests that the video might have been filmed in Philadelphia.
In an email with FADER, drummer Jarret Dougherty spoke about the song and Rose Mountain:
Our focus for this record was to create the most melodic and concise music of our 10 year history. Figuring out what was at the core of "Empty Head" wasn't just important to this particular song, it was really part of the fundamental challenge of Rose Mountain as a whole.
Rose Mountain is currently available on Amazon (Vinyl, CD, MP3).
