This morning, the music video for "Harold's," by Freddie Gibbs and Madlib, was released. The song is an homage to The Fried Chicken King, with Freddie rapping out his order for the chorus, and getting more in depth during his two verses. It's a pleasant change of pace seeing one of the more intense gangster rappers displaying a goofier side. Although the song centers around poultry, it's more about Gibbs enjoying the simple things and looking back at his past. One of the best things about Gibbs is that he doesn't flaunt his lavish lifestyle. Rather, he talks about everyday things that people can actually relate to.

"Harold's" comes off of Piñata, Gangsta Gibbs' collaborative album with Madlib. Madlib's production is reminiscent of the instrumentals during the '90s, an era many believe was the golden-age of hip hop. The album was released March 18th to very positive reviews. You can stream Piñata in full right here on Zumic.
