"Shut In" - Strand of Oaks Live on Late Night with Seth Meyers 8.11.2014 [YouTube Video]

Strand of Oaks stopped by Late Night with Seth Meyers to perform his song "Shut In" on August 11th, 2014. The tune is off his latest record, HEAL. The song is another beautiful representation of what the Philadelphian singer-songwriter's album symbolizes, his own recovery.

The lyrics address Timothy Showalter's frustration with trying to become a success, but there is a gleam of hope in the song's chorus when he sings "It’s not as bad as it seems / And we try in our own way to get better." "Shut In" is a solid rock anthem and the acoustic ending transmits beautifully in the live performance which you can watch above.
