Glasgow indie-poppers The Vaselines are coming out with a new album, V For Vaselines, on September 29th via Rotary Music. It's the followup to their 2010 release, Sex With An X, their first studio record in over 20 years. Today the band released "High Tide Low Tide," the album's opener, check it out above.
"High Tide Low Tide" is a high energy, bouncy track. It recalls fellow Glasgow band Belle & Sebastian, only sped up and punkier. The tune is full of fuzzy electric guitars, male-female vocal harmonies, and an infectious opening and chorus. By the end, you are left feeling excited and jubilant as this song brings the right blend of poppy hooks and punk rock intensity.
You can listen to the first single from the record, "One Lost Year," right here on Zumic. V For Vaselines is currently available for pre-order at The Vaselines store.
