Following their fourth self-titled release as The Bronx last year, the LA punk rockers are bouncing back to their Mariachi El Bronx personas. The band's new record, III, is slated for release November 4th on ATO Records. Listen to the records first single, "New Beat," above.

The opening lines for the second verse, "Tonight we celebrate the madness / Tonight we embrace insanity," are a fitting summary for the track. The song marks the band's momentous return to their MEB stylings, with a punk rock attitude and gorgeous Mexican music. However, the "New Beat" changes for the third verse, adding electronic filters and vinyl scratches behind the music. It's an interesting choice, but producer John Avila -- who produced their first two albums as Mariachi El Bronx -- is on board, so we'll see if the rest of the record follows suit. Stream it above or click the arrow in the player for a free download.

Frontman Matt Caughthran talked to KCRW about the new single:

“New Beat” is a voodoo spell. The first song we wrote for the record. It’s a deep and dark exorcism that set the tone for the entire album. Enjoy.

The album is available for pre-order now as a CD, digital download, or on day-glo orange vinyl. Order through their official store. For more music and news from The Bronx, head over to their Zumic artist page.
