Two nights ago, Passenger performed "Heart's On Fire" on Conan. The single is off the singer-songwriter's latest record, Whispers, which was released this past June.
The one-man-band puts on a beautiful performance. His haunted voice brings to mind singers such as Ray LaMontagne and Damien Rice. Not only does the English singer have a similar tone relating to his voice, but his music shares a melancholy mood that is especially present in Rice's work.
"Heart's On Fire" is a beautiful acoustic tune about the woes of unrequited love. Rosenberg's simple guitar picking compliments his raspy vocal stylings and produces a simple, but compelling song.
