LA-based band Wand have released a trippy animation sequence for "Flying Golem." Check it out above.
Wand is the solo project of Cory Thomas Hanson, aside from his electronic solo work under the name WHITE. Like fellow Angelenos Ty Segall and Mikal Cronin, he plays garage rock that combines wailing guitars and filtered vocals with gritty pop melodies.
With the help of animators Meghan Tryon and Garrett M. Davis, the video depicts fantasy-like visuals of flashy patterns and nonsense creatures morphing into one another. There are lots of skulls and some reincarnations of an 8-bit video game. It's some serious eye candy.
