"Tempted" - OK Go (Squeeze Cover) [AV Club Video]

The AV Club's Undercover series continues with OK Go's sincere take on "Tempted," the 1981 hit by Squeeze. Incidentally, the video was released the same day as OK Go's new album, Hungry Ghosts.

The band's performance of the track is relatively straightforward. Frontman Damian Kulash explains that his early taste in music was pilfered from his older sister. "Singles – 45's and Under, the greatest hits by Squeeze, was one of my first three albums and I listened to it non-stop," he says. "So, when we saw a list of songs that were available to play for Undercover, this was the clear choice." OK Go's cover doesn't stray from the original too much, but it does lose some of its new wave style in favor of the band's indie rock flavor. Watch above.
