Today, OK Go have released a music video on YouTube for their song "I Won't Let You Down" from their newest album Hungry Ghosts.
The futuristic theme for the video was inspired by the band's visit to the Tokyo Robot Restaurant. Soon, the group got in contact with director Morihiro Harano who then coordinated with Honda's ad agency. The video itself was shot at a warehouse in Chiba, Japan which is 45 minutes from the capital.
At the beginning of the video, all four members are sitting on Honda UNI-CUBs which is Honda's mix between a Segway and a unicycle. The extreme camera angles in the video, being on the ground in one shot and in the sky another, are made possible with a camera mounted on a drone. The complexity of the patterns made with the umbrellas almost looks like CGI animation but it isn't. OK Go have really outdone themselves.
Hungry Ghosts is available on Amazon (Vinyl,CD, MP3) and iTunes.
