Big K.R.I.T. keeps the smooth records coming as we await the release of his second album, Cadillactica. Today, the Mississippi rapper released another album track titled, "Soul Food" featuring R&B star Raphael Saadiq. Cadillactica is scheduled to hit stores on November 11th.
A nostalgic K.R.I.T. teams up with the soul music veteran to reminisce over unforgettable family times. "Soul Food" features a smooth, soulful, guitar-driven sound with a '70s influenced hook likely to make our parents purchase his record. K.R.I.T. appears to be saddened by lack of togetherness in his family as he raps, "Back in the day, the yard was oh so filled / Now nobody comes around here." The "soul food" not only represents the good eating he experienced in his younger years but also the precious moments he shared with his family.
Pre-order Cadillactica on Amazon (CD, MP3) and iTunes.
