Last night, hometown rockers Spoon performed three songs on The Daily Show in Austin, Texas as part of "South by South Mess," an extension of the show's midterm election coverage. You can watch the official videos below.
Spoon "Inside Out" on The Daily Show 10.30.2014
Spoon "Do You" on The Daily Show 10.30.2014
Spoon "Rent I Pay" on The Daily Show 10.30.2014
Spoon starts off with the mellow rock of "Inside Out" that features atmospheric keyboard affects at the end. Jon Stewart takes a moment to thank the Zach Theater and whatever process that is used to smoke meat before the band goes into "Do You." The Britt Daniel led song is followed by "Rent I Pay," which contains an edgy rock and roll swagger. All three songs are from Spoon's 2014 album, They Want My Soul, their eighth studio album.
They Want My Soul is available on Amazon (Vinyl, CD, MP3) and iTunes.
