Paul McCartney is getting an all-star tribute album called The Art of McCartney, set for release on November 18th. Today, Billy Joel's version of "Maybe I'm Amazed" was posted to YouTube along with a video featuring abstract digital effects. Watch below, as well as an interview with Joel in the studio.

This new version is a simpler and more polished version of the tune that appeared on McCartney's first solo album, McCartney, released a month before what would be The Beatles final album release, Let It Be. The original McCartney version features organ, and slightly more adventurous bass, and McCartney's inimitable vocals. Billy Joel is a natural choice to cover the song with his piano and vocal chops, and his version doesn't disappoint.
