Future Islands have shared a reworking of "Seasons (Waiting For You)" featuring music from Canadian trio BadBadNotGood. Listen above and download for free via Amazon.
This take really lets the soul of the track soar. The futuristic synthpop sounds are lost completely in favor of a vintage R&B sound, and it's arguably better than the album version. Samuel Herring's vocals are still powerful and rich, but feel more at home with the jazzy backing track laid down by BBNG. NME may have named Future Islands' album version of "Seasons" their Top Track of 2014, but this reinterpretation outshines it by far.
Singles came out in March of this year on 4AD. You can get it on Amazon (Vinyl, CD, MP3) or iTunes.
