The king of PBR&B, Frank Ocean, has proved once again why he's such a special talent. Earlier today, Ocean released a new song on his Tumblr, along with the lyrics. Check out both above.
The song is a lush tune that starts out wobbly and phased out before coming into slightly more focus when Ocean sings the verses. The song is less than 2 minutes, but there's so much going on that it feels longer. It's raw, but there's complex and sophisticated stuff happening. The otherworldly production features various types of distortion and looping, and the vocal elements fuse smooth R&B with thoughtful hip hop.
Frank Ocean is expected to release his next album in 2015, which will be the follow-up to his much loved 2012 album channel ORANGE. Pick that up on Amazon (Vinyl, CD, MP3) and iTunes.
