Warren Haynes stopped by the Q104.3 studios in New York City on Monday for a special Live at 5 performance. One of the songs the Gov't Mule guitarist played was a cover of Pink Floyd's 1975 classic "Wish You Were Here." You can watch his performance above.

Strapped with his signature Gibson Les Paul, Warren plays the song with gentle ease. His vocals hold the similar warmth that David Gilmour has, staying pretty true to the original. "Wish You Were Here" is a special song for many, and it's always a treat to hear Warren sing it.

Recently, Gov't Mule released Dark Side of the Mule, and you can pick that up on Amazon (Vinyl, CD, MP3) and iTunes.

Gov't Mule will be celebrating the New Year in New York City by performing two shows at the Beacon Theatre on December 30th & 31st.
