Australian singer-songwriter Sia is starting off the new year right with her latest single, "Elastic Heart." Watch the official music video above.
The video premiered January 7th, and managed to stir up a lot of controversy. Starring actor Shia LaBeouf and dancer Maddie Ziegler, many felt that the video portrayed pedophilia with Maddie being only 12 years of age. Sia took to Twitter to apologize to the public and explain what her true intentions for the video were:
I anticipated some 'pedophelia!!!' Cries for this video. All I can say is Maddie and Shia are two of the only actors I felt could play

I apologize to those who feel triggered by #ElasticHeart My intention was to create some emotional content, not to upset anybody.

Nevertheless, the YouTube community is loving the song and video with over 400,000 likes and over 36 million views and counting. 1000 Forms of Fear was released in the Summer of 2014. The album, being Sia's first in four years, became her first number one album in the United States.
"Elastic Heart" is available on Amazon (Vinyl, CD, MP3) and iTunes.
