Indie rockers Built to Spill have shared a new song called "Living Zoo." The track is from their upcoming release, Untethered Moon, which is their first new album since 2009's There Is No Enemy. Listen to the tune above via the band's SoundCloud.
"Living Zoo" starts off with moderate distorted guitar strumming before the intensity picks up. Two guitars spiral with hooks and riffs that shine with energy reminiscent of early '90s grungy pop rock. Doug Martsch's vocals echo with sweetness while he compares humans to animals. It's a tune full of excitement, and a solid statement that Built to Spill are back to rock our indie socks off.
The vinyl format of Untethered Moon will be available on Record Store Day, which is April 18th. The CD and digital versions will be available on April 21st. Pre-order the album via Amazon (MP3).
