Electric guitars can be used in all kinds of different ways.  Johnny Marr is one of the great Indie Rock guitar players of all time, best known for his work with The Smiths during the 1980s.  Ronnie Wood is one of the great Classic Rock guitar players of all time, best known for his work with The Faces and The Rolling Stones during the 1970s.

Last night at the NME Awards, Ronnie Wood joined Johnny Marr's band for a take on The Smiths' "How Soon Is Now".  Wood's guitar could have been louder in the mix, but we must say that his country blues riffing blends nicely with the signature haunting slide guitar and chugging rhythm parts of the song.
