Last November, folk rockers Houndmouth stopped by Guestroom Records in Louisville, Kentucky to play two songs off their upcoming album, Little Neon Limelight. That performance was recently uploaded to the Rough Trade Records YouTube channel. Watch it above.
The band starts off with "Sedona," and despite a minor microphone problem, the group charges through it. It's a sunny, pop rock tune with a chorus that recalls The Crystals' 1963 hit "Da Doo Ron Ron."
"Black Gold" is a catchy number with storytelling lyrics and bursts of energy behind guitarist Matt Myers electrified riffs. The band doesn't have much room to perform in, but they're all smiles as they rock out.
Little Neon Limelight will be out March 16th. You can pre-order it on Amazon (Vinyl, CD, MP3).
