Earlier this week, Killer Mike and El-P of the hardcore hip hop duo Run The Jewels met with a film crew from Jack Daniel's at Killer Mike's Atlanta barber shop. They performed a live version of the bonus track from their debut album, "Pew Pew Pew," as well as took some time to talk about their music and creative partnership in the series of videos below.

Similar to their Spotify Sessions Performance at SXSW 2015, there is something exhilarating about watching / hearing Run The Jewels perform live.

While it may be due to the fact that they're still a relatively new group hungry for success or that both rappers have technical skills that translate well to live shows, I believe it is simpler than that: they are having fun.

What stands out in the interviews above is the mutual camaraderie between Mike and El-P. Their partnership transcends the music. They crack jokes to each other in between songs, they share each other's creative ambition, and they vibe off of their shared energy whenever they're performing together. It's this unique chemistry that makes them not only such a dynamic live act, but a group to keep an eye out for in the future.
